Reinforcing its commitment to nurturing future talent and fostering industry-academia collaboration, DIMO recently hosted an educational field visit for students from the University College of Kuliyapitiya at DIMO 800 and the DIMO Head Office on the 22nd and 23rd. As part of their NVQ curriculum, a group of 60 students from NVQ Levels 5 and 6 were given the opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to internationally standardized workshop procedures, modern industrial best practices, and cutting-edge safety standards. The participants also experienced firsthand the advanced technology behind Mercedes-Benz Electric Vehicles, broadening their understanding of the future of mobility. Guided by Kasun Geethanjana, the program reflected DIMO’s continuous efforts to empower the next generation of technical professionals and contribute towards advancing Sri Lanka’s industrial knowledge ecosystem.
