In January, 2023, DIMO Nature Club members were able to participate in an adventurous and educational two-day workshop at the Runakanda Conservation Centre, which is situated a few kilometres away from Baduraliya town. Runakanda Conservation Centre has been initiated by and is maintained by the society 'Friends of Biodiversity' (FOBD). Members experienced observing range of species including Jungle Fowl, Black Bulbul, Sri Lanka Grey Hornbill, Asian Brown Flycatcher, Asian Paradise Flycatcher, Brown-headed Barbet, Lesser Flameback, Green Vine Snake, Hump-nosed Lizard, Green Lizard, Kangaroo Lizard.
