Naval Officers Gain First-Hand Exposure to Advanced Automotive Technologies at DIMO 800

DIMO 800 recently welcomed 33 Naval Officers from the Engineering School of the Naval & Maritime Academy, who are currently pursuing NVQ courses in Automobile, Tool Machinery, Panel Beating, and Painting, for an educational field visit held on 17th November as part of their academic curriculum.

The officers were provided with comprehensive exposure to cutting-edge mobility technologies, including advanced electric vehicle systems, high-precision diagnostic tools, and the latest innovations shaping the global automotive industry. They also received insights into internationally benchmarked workshop standards, robust safety protocols, and DIMO’s structured operational processes designed to deliver world-class service excellence.

During the visit, the group explored key areas across the automotive value chain—from aftersales operations and body & paint processes to new vehicle sales and customer service models. This engagement not only deepened their technical expertise but also broadened their understanding of the rapidly evolving mobility landscape.

The initiative reflects DIMO’s commitment to knowledge sharing, industry collaboration, and supporting the development of Sri Lanka’s future technical professionals by creating meaningful learning opportunities in a real-world setting.
