DIMO Nature Club organised the very first ‘Kaiwaruwa’ on 19th of December 2025 at DIMO 800 Auditorium.
We wanted to do something different and move away from the usual awareness session mode.
A ‘Kaiwaruwa’ leading to the flavour of movie magic.
Our first chapter was on ‘Invasion and its Consequences – the good, the bad and the ugly on culture, art, religion, conservation and more.
We premiered - Mel Gibson’s ‘Apocalypto’ to give that excitement and energy to kick off our first chapter.
The ‘Kaiwaruwa’ was presented by Boopathy Nalin a film critic, Imaduwa Priyadarshana an ecologist and an architect, Chathura Rupasinghe our very own and moderated by Anjalika Herath as they delved into how culture were built and has created that current presence to how from youth to others has navigated their lifestyles through the chaos.
