Nearly 30 students from the National Youth Service Council – Monaragala Training Center visited the DIMO 800 Mercedes-Benz Sales and Workshop premises as part of a field visit under their NVQ Curriculum Programme. The initiative was co-supported by DIMO’s “Lassana Hetak” programme, which fosters sustainable community development and social responsibility across the nation.
During the visit, participants gained first-hand exposure to modern automotive technologies, workshop operations, and the sustainable practices adopted by Mercedes-Benz. The interactive learning experience enhanced their practical understanding of industry standards and evolving mobility solutions.
Students were also introduced to Electric Vehicle Technology and the Mercedes-Benz Ambition 2039 sustainability concept, while witnessing live demonstrations of advanced vehicle features such as Parktronic functions. The visit offered valuable insights into the future of mobility and showcased DIMO’s continuous commitment to empowering youth through knowledge, technology, and sustainability-driven innovation.
