Continuing its commitment to environmental stewardship under the DIMO “Lassana Hetak” sustainability initiative, the third session of the “Living in a Wetland Capital City” series was successfully held on 15th October 2025 at WP/JP/Thalawathugoda Agramathya Vidyalaya, Kalalgoda, Pannipitiya. Conducted in collaboration with Greensphere Pvt Ltd and the LOVE A TREE Foundation, this program aims to raise awareness among urban schoolchildren about the importance of preserving their surrounding wetlands.
The latest session engaged 138 enthusiastic students, guided by Narmadha Dangampola from Greensphere Nature Studies, who inspired participants to actively discuss and share their own experiences with local wetlands. Through such initiatives, DIMO continues to instill a sense of environmental responsibility among younger generations, reinforcing its role as a purpose-driven organization dedicated to creating a sustainable and greener Sri Lanka.
