DIMO Nature Club successfully organized an educational field visit to the Environmental Research and Education Center in Hiyare, Galle, on 21 and 22 June 2025. The visit provided members with an opportunity to explore the region’s rich biodiversity while gaining practical knowledge about wildlife conservation and environmental protection. Participants gained valuable insights into the ecological significance of amphibians and the center’s ongoing efforts in wildlife rescue and rehabilitation.

The group also had the opportunity to engage in bird watching and explore the surrounding natural environment, gaining a deeper understanding of avian diversity, behavior, and habitats in the region. The experience encouraged greater awareness of the importance of conserving Sri Lanka’s natural ecosystems and biodiversity.
