DIMO Academy for Technical Skills (DATS), the education arm of DIMO, entered into a strategic partnership with Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC, Sri Lanka’s largest private sector bank, through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) held recently at the Commercial Bank Head Office in Colombo.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Gahanath Pandithage, Managing Director of DIMO, and Mr. Sanath Manatunge, Managing Director of Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC, in the presence of senior representatives from both organizations.
This landmark collaboration seeks to facilitate specialized student loan facilities and comprehensive financial solutions designed to support youth pursuing technical and vocational education at DIMO Academy. By combining DIMO’s expertise in technical education with Commercial Bank’s financial leadership, the partnership underscores the shared vision of both organizations to enhance access to quality education, foster skill development, and strengthen employability among Sri Lankan youth.
Reinforcing DIMO’s purpose of “Fuelling Dreams and Aspirations”, this partnership forms a vital part of the Group’s commitment to creating a Resilient Community under its Sustainability Agenda 2030. Through initiatives like DATS, DIMO continues to empower the nation’s youth by equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities necessary to drive sustainable socio-economic progress.
