KOMATSU Machine Maintenance Seminar

A Komatsu Machine Maintenance Seminar was conducted in Anuradhapura on the 07th and 08th of July 2018, which was organized by CMD Product Support Division. The focused participants were Komatsu Machines Owners, Decision Makers, Maintenance Staff & Operators of Northern, North Central, Eastern and North Western provinces of the country. Over 290 participants including Machine Owners, Engineers, Supervisors and Machine Operators attended the event. The participants were made aware of the Construction Machinery product range, importance and benefits of adherence to manufacturer recommended preventive maintenance services, use of Genuine Spare Parts, benefits of using genuine undercarriage components, importance of Komtrax (Komatsu Machine Tracking System) and importance of proper operating practices and safety procedures.

The above seminar was conducted as two separate programs on the two consecutive days, 07th and 8th July. On 07th of July, a seminar was conducted at Randiya Hotel for Machine Supervisors and Machine Operators with the emphasis of improving their knowledge on machine operation, preventive maintenance and safety practices. On the 08th of July, another seminar was conducted for Machine Owners, Decision Makers & Engineers at Rajarata Hotel. The main objectives of the seminar was to enhance the participants’ awareness on benefits of following manufacture recommended preventive maintenance and the values & benifits of using Genuine Spare Parts.

The Welcome Speeches were made by Mr Chaminda Ranawana (Executive Director) & Mr Ruparatne Ranasinghe (Head of Customer Support & Services). The product range presentation was delivered by Mr Dammika Samaranayake (Application Manager), Preventive Machine Maintenance & Komtrax System by Mr Tharaka Kularathne (Customer Support Services Engineer), Importance of Using Genuine Undercarriage Components by Mr Kanishka Gunasekara (Business Unit Manager- Customer Support Services), Correct Usage of Machines by Mr Chanaka Fernando (Customer Support Services Engineer), Correct Breaker Operations by Mr Vidura Weerasena (Customer Support Services Advisor), Workshop Facilities by Mr Thilanka Bandara (Business Unit Manager- Services) and Importance of Using Genuine Spare Parts by Mr Pubudu Senevirathna (Business Unit Manager – Parts Operation).
