DIMO Agri Machinery Division was able to make Mahindra Tractors the number one tractor brand in Sri Lanka, reaching the highest market share of 29.8% surpassing the market leader in the month of September 2020.
Elaborating the story behind this milestone, the Chief Operating Officer of DIMO’s Retail Cluster, Mr. Viranga Wickramaratne said “Agri Machinery division further improved its aftersale services with increasing spare parts availability and service standards while conducting island wide free service campaign before the season. This Island wide service campaign was a platform to redefine DIMO’s aftersales capabilities and strength of its spare parts supply”.
This was supplemented through a 360-degree marketing communication campaign which enhanced the Mahindra Tractor brand equity with DIMO trust. The division also made necessary arrangements to tie-up with several financial institutes such as SDB, HNB, PLC and CLC to make Mahindra tractors more affordable with lowest down payments and attractive leasing packages.
It is a vital factor to provide easy access for agriculture implants to take the agriculture mechanisation to the next level. Considering this factor, the division also came up with an attractive tactical offer for the Mahindra customer for the season. Under this offer, each customer who purchased a Mahindra Yuvo tractor was eligible for a free rotavator. This was an unique offer in the tractor market.
Congratulating the DIMO Agri machinery team Vice President, Head of International Operations – AFS (South Asia) of Mahindra, Mr Sanjay Jadhav said “Let’s continue the momentum and I am sure soon the team will reach the next milestone of 35% market share. Now that we have gained the No 1 position for the month, let’s focus on securing the leadership position soon.”
DIMO Agri Machinery division is optimistic on growing the market share further while securing the No 1 position in the local tractor market.
