The iconic four-letter DIMO logo has been a synonymous symbol of Diesel & Motor Engineering PLC since 1939. As we embark on 80 years of existence, we are keen to adapt to the continuously changing needs of our stakeholders and the environment. I am proud to share our new identity with which we will challenge the next decade and beyond. Our new identity expresses strong momentum and forward-thinking principles.

Whilst we are proud that DIMO is 80 years ‘young’, our new identity is a statement of our preparedness to take on the next decade and beyond with agility, innovation and excellence.

Our new identity consists of three elements: The geographic shape of Sri Lanka, the DIMO word and our new brand promise.

We are a truly Sri Lankan company. We take pride in taking our capabilities beyond Sri Lanka and by bringing in the best technologies in the world to Sri Lanka. For a company that is 8 decades ‘young’, we have been a part of, some of the most iconic milestones in transportation and infrastructure in Sri Lanka. The geographic shape of Sri Lanka is designed using 7 progressive bars. Each progressive bar indicates an area which will play a pivotal role in DIMO becoming a progressive organisation. DIMO’s strength and our journey throughout the last 8 decades have been about partnerships. From 1939, we have been managing enduring relationships and winning our stakeholders’ trust. In order to face the future challenges, we want to be perceived as the perfect partner to our stakeholders, as we blaze trails inside and outside Sri Lanka.

Media Round Table on DIMO’s Way Forward

A Media Round Table was organized by DIMO, to create awareness about DIMO’s Way Forward. It was held 30th July evening at The Colombo Club, Taj Samudra Hotel. It was a discussion session between DIMO Senior Management and selected few Senior Editors of Publications. Management of DIMO described DIMO’s 80-year journey, future growth plans, organizations cluster structure, recent recognitions received, and advantages customers receive when buying from DIMO.
