Central Bank gets an upgraded Siemens security system
The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) headquarters situated in Colombo 01 is a landmark building standing as a symbol of the monetary authority of the country. To safeguard its occupants, visitors and all its assets, the CBSL demanded an integrated security solution with supporting architecture for the building. And DIMO was able to fulfill this stringent criteria in partnership with Siemens. The previous system installed was replaced with Siemens VeriNET Door Controllers covering 190 doors which are controlled by a Central Management workstation. The VeriNET system is a range of modular access controllers with native Ethernet support and a web server which is ideally suited for
the secure environment of the CBSL. The system also provides greater security from interference and jamming as well. The Siveillance Fusion software platform for the security system installed is capable of integrating the security management system by natively combining the access control, video surveillance and intrusion detection on one platform. Thus, DIMO & Siemens fulfilled all of the CBSL’s requirements to protect what is considered the “apex institution in the financial sector”.
