The inauguration ceremony of the new Transmission Construction division's head office Building of Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) was held recently at Pannipitiya with the participation of officials from CEB, DIMO and SIEMENS.
This is the last phase of the 220kV 3X50MVar Variable Shunt Reactor Project Anuradhapura and Mannar and this event also marked the completion of the project.
DIMO together with its long-standing partner SIEMENS carried out the entire design and construction, including MEP works of this HO building.
Rural Electrification Projects in Sheema Municipality in Uganda

The commissioning ceremony of rural electrification projects in Sheema municipality in Uganda was held recently with the participation of Hon. Dr. Ruth Nankabirwa, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Development. Mr. Shahane Gunasekara & Mr. Roshan Senevirathne participated in the event representing DIMO.
DIMO is proud to join hands with the government of Uganda as the main contractor of this project and provide our expertise in the power & energy sector to uplift the power & energy infrastructure in the rural areas of Uganda.
The project included 137 km of Medium Voltage lines and 222km of Low Voltage Lines including 96 distribution substations. A team of highly skilled and experienced engineers were involved in the project, in making sure the project deliverables are met as planned and highest customer satisfaction is guaranteed.
Upon the successful completion of this project, DIMO look forward to undertaking power and energy projects in the other parts of Udanga as well as in other parts of the world including Maldives, Middle east, Kenya and Tanzania.
Construction of Nikawewa Bodagama Water Supply project in Monaragala District

Industrial Engineering division of DIMO recently completed Construction of Nikawewa Bodagama Water Supply project in Monaragala District. DIMO undertook the entire scope of supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of 03 Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plants for this project. DIMO also completed construction of 20m3 Capacity 12m height 03 elevated water tanks to store treated water.
This project provides safe drinking water to over 300 families in Thanamalvila, Monaragala District.
DIMO recently commissioned a custom-designed Multiple Car Elevator System at E.W. Balasuriya & Co. (Pvt) Ltd in Colombo 04.
These elevators travel through 4 levels inside the building, transporting vehicles simultaneously to the required parking floors. Being a hydraulically powered system, which does not require additional overhead clearances or a machine room, has saved lots of space through efficiency in design and optimum usage of building infrastructure, ultimately leading to a faster ROI.
