“Four Wheel Drive Club Trophy - 2007” was held at the Rivers Edge 4x4 Racing Track at Kochchikade on the 25th February 2007 organised jointly by the Four Wheel Drive Club and 4 by 4s, Negombo.
This novel event featured a drag race concept for the first time ever in an off-road challenge in Sri Lanka. Competitors had to race and overcome various obstacles parallel to one another featuring a Log Bridge, V grooves, mud patches, bunny hops, climbs etc.
Jeep Division of Dimowas one of the Sponsors of this unique event. Mr. Deepthi Perera in his Jeep Wrangler recorded the “Fastest timing” during this inaugural event, setting a benchmark for the years to come…
