DIMO took part in the BITE 2012 (Batticaloa International Trade Exhibition) exhibition which was held at Shivananda School Grounds from 12th to 14th October. TATA Commercial Vehicle Sales, TATA Commercial Vehicle Parts, TATA Commercial Vehicle Service, TATA Passenger Cars, Mahindra Tractors, Claas Harvesters and Osram Lighting took part in this exhibition. The event was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Eastern Province and other dignitaries from the East – which included several ministers, government agents and representatives from the forces. Mr. Ranjith Pandithage, Mr. Gahanath Pandithage and Mr. Vijitha Bandara were present in Batticaloa for the exhibition.

The exhibition was open to public from 3pm to 11pm daily, due to the intense heat prevalent during the daytime. DIMO arranged to screen the latest Tamil movies on a large screen inside the DIMO stall each evening, which attracted a large crowd. DIMO had more brand presence and a larger stall than the main sponsor of the event.

TATA Commercial Vehicles division arranged customer get-together for their top customers, which included their parts dealer and the service agent in Batticaloa. This was arranged at Maalu Maalu Resort, Pasikudah. Twelve customers were hosted for cocktails and dinner by Mr. Ranjith Pandithage, Mr. Gahanath Pandithage, Mr. Vijitha Bandara, Mr. Nawaz Marikkar and Mr. Ashok Kumar. It provided an opportunity for DIMO Management to get to know the top customers of TATA on a personal basis, and to listen to their comments and suggestions in improving DIMO business.
