DIMO in partnership with Trekurious treats Mercedes-Benz customers to a unique experience with Single Malt Appreciation series

DIMO recently hosted over 40 individuals to experience the high profile whiskys under the Single Malt Appreciation Series curated by Trekurious.

The world’s most premium luxury automobile marque orchestrated this premium experience to highlight a unique involvement similar to what Mercedes-Benz offers – a unique lifestyle experience. The Single Malt Appreciation series guides one through the versatility and complexity of the world’s finest whiskys, enriching the appreciation of a cherished past-time and bringing oneself that much closer to what George Bernard Shaw so affectionately referred to as ‘liquid sunshine’.

An experience for the aficionado and the amateur alike, premium whisky tasting adds substance and variety to the normal liquor tasting activities. It includes savoring one blended whisky and four distinct single malts and enhances the appreciation and the knowledge under the guidance of a qualified expert. It also takes one through a virtual journey of Scotland’s finest distilleries.

DIMO800 premises was converted in to a magnificent setting where the guests were welcomed by a gathering of Mercedes-Benz Classic cars and the latest Mercedes-Benz automobiles along with dimly lit candles along the walkway. The guests were picked up by brand new Mercedes-Benz cars and were driven to the surprise location – DIMO800 creating a sense of anticipation and excitement.

The classics which greeted the guests included W110, W108, W123, W186 (Type 300D), Cabriolet D – (Mr. Geoffrey Bawa’s car), W115, W111- 220SE coupe and W116. The whisky and single malts served included Johnnie Walker XR 21, Glenkinchie 12 year old, Cardhu 12 year old, Caol Lla 12 year old and Laguvulin 16 year old. The event was hosted by Mr Martin Straus (CEO/Head of Studies for British Food & Beverage Training Centre (Pvt) Ltd), a certified whisky expert and renowned aficionado with more than four decades of experience in the industry. The evening experience ended with the customers being driven back to their residences in Mercedes-Benz cars.
