The DIMO TATA division has initiated yet another program to uplift the school children transportation industry in Sri Lanka together with All Island School Children’s Transport Association (AICTA) and Orient Finance. This innovative program provides an opportunity to trade in old buses/vans to buy a new TATA LCV bus. Orient finance will do a valuation for the old vehicle and reduce the same amount from the lease value when they go for a new TATA LCV bus. If they do not agree to the amount which is offered by Orient Finance for their old vehicle, they have the option to sell their vehicle outside and settle the same within three months.
This tripartite was signed by Mr Gahanath Pandithage, Mr Vijitha Bandara, Mr Nalinda Kurukulasooriya and Mr Sampath Kumarasinghe from DIMO, Mr Suresh Amerasekara (CEO), Mr Nilantha Jayanetthi (AGM) from Orient Finance and Mr Malsri De Silva (Chairman), Mr Lalith Chandrasiri (Secretary) from All Island School Children’s Transport Association.
The event was held at DIMO 800 recently and was hosted by Mr Prasanna Mapatunagamage. Mr Sateesh Machiraju (Regional Manager SAARC, TATA Motors International Business), Mr Rajeev Jaiswal (Country Manager Sri Lanka – TATA Motors), Mr Shanaka Gamage (Product Manager – LCV buses), Product Managers and representatives from All Island School Children’s Transport Association and representatives from Orient Finance participated for the event.
