Customer Meet for the All Island School Children’s Transport Association (AICTA)

November 30, 2015

In order to drive the program which uplifts the school children transportation industry in Sri Lanka together with All Island School Children’s Transport Association (AICTA) and Orient Finance, a special customer meet was held for the regional heads of the All Island School Children’s Transport Association (AICTA) on Saturday at DIMO 800.

This innovative program provides an opportunity to trade in old buses/vans to buy a new TATA LCV bus. If they do not agree to the amount which is offered by Orient Finance for their old vehicle, they have the option to sell their vehicle outside and settle the same within three months.

Mr Ranjith Pandithage, Mr Nalinda Kurukulasooriya, Mr Malsri De Silva (Chairman – All Island School Children’s Transport Association), Mr Lalith Chandrasiri (Secretary – All Island School Children’s Transport Association), Mr Prasanna Mapatunagamage, Mr Shanaka Gamage, Mr Krishnajith Wajirajeewa, Mr Ravin Perera and the Colombo Branch Bus Team participated for this event.

Historic weekend for the Silver Arrows as Nico and Lewis wrap up the 2015 season in style at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix!

Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg beat fellow teammate Lewis Hamilton to victory at the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, signing off his year in style with a hat-trick of victories. The battle between the Mercedes drivers was fairly routine to start with, but took a twist at the second pit stops when Hamilton attempted an alternative strategy. Ultimately he finished 8.2s shy of team-mate Rosberg, but led for ten laps in the middle of the race as he attempted to switch to a one-stop strategy before being ordered to pit for a more conventional two-stop.

Lewis Hamilton completed the year with 10 victories – 381 points while Nico Rosberg came in second with 6 victories – 322 points, while Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel managed 3 victories -278 pints to be placed third in the World Drivers’ Championship. The Silver Arrows sealed a record-breaking 12 one-two finishes in 2015 – surpassing the teams’ 2014 benchmark. With 703 points in the World Constructors’ Championship MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS claimed victories over Ferrari who came in second with 428 points in the World Constructors’ Championship.
