“We are No 1” – Service Excellence Award 2014

DIMO accomplished Number 1 position in the entire South East Asia Region for ‘Service Excellence’ in After Sales.

This great achievement was announced at the Daimler South East Asia – ‘Service Excellence Award’ meeting held few days ago in Singapore.

We at Mercedes-Benz Passenger Vehicles Service Team have been striving for this for many years… DIMO reached this level by whipping all top players including Thailand, Brunei, Singapore, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia & Malaysia who were competing for the top award from Daimler AG for the region.

This is an annual survey carried out independently by Daimler AG. It also includes contacting customers directly to obtain their feedback.

In addition to being selected as the ‘Overall Winner’ for 2014, we also secured the following categories by winning them:


•          CSI

o          Overall customer service experience at the facility

o          Politeness of staff

o          Time taken for repairs

o          Ability to diagnose problems etc

•          Mystery Shopping

•          Net Promoter Score (Difference between extremely satisfied customers against dissatisfied customers)

•          Fixed First Visit

•          Service Follow Up

DIMO Facebook Page Celebrates 150k Milestone with its Fans

Corporate Communications Department recently organized an event to celebrate the surpassing of 150,000 DIMO Facebook fans. The event was held at DIMO800 on 6th December 2014 and fans were chosen through a competition to be a part of this event. Thirty two individuals took part at the event and each participant received a name tag with a QR code for the ‘Selfie’ competition.

The event worked out in three parts – a Trivia Competition, a Tour of the DIMO 800 and a test drive session.

The Trivia competition was mainly based on DIMO businesses and provided an opportunity for participants to win many gift items with each correct answer. A full tour of the DIMO800 was then arranged for the participants which included the sales, service and the rest of the premises. Following food and refreshments, the fans had the opportunity to experience the new A-Class, Nano Twist and the e-XETA cars through test drives.

Mr Gahanath Pandithage spoke at the event and cut a cake to celebrate the milestone along with the fans. He also took part in handing over gifts to the Trivia winners. Mr Shawn Silva assisted with the Trivia competition and also gave away some gifts. Ms Ruvani Erandika welcomed the participants at the beginning and did a presentation on DIMO’s Facebook journey thus far. In addition, a ‘Selfie’ competition was organized among the fans to pose with a Mercedes-Benz. The winner was able to get more than 120 Likes in less than 90 minutes for his selfie and walked off with a valuable gift from Mercedes-Benz. The day turned out to be a memorable experience for all 32 fans who turned out on the Poya day. Corp Comm Team wishes to thank all individuals who helped to make this event a success.
