DIMO Consumer Products Division introduced a range of adhesives and tapes to the market under the brand name ‘FullFit’. FullFit was launched on the 23rd of May 2014 at the DIMO 800. The event was followed by cocktails. Mr Ranjith Pandithage (Chairman & Managing Director), Mr Gahanath Pandithage (Group CEO), Mr Channa Weerawardane (Director), Senior Management of DIMO, Consumer Division Team members, key distributors and distinguished guests participated at the event.

The Ground Breaking Ceremony of Kurunegala Grid Substation took place on the 2nd of May 2014. Ms Nelum Kalansuriya (Project Manager), Mr W. R. Jayawadane (Project Engineer) represented the Ceylon Electricity Board. Mr Rishi Maggon (Chief Manager), Mr Suresh Kumar (Construction Manager), Mr Arumugan Saminathan (Project Manager), Mr Waruna Vidanage (Civil Engineer) represented Siemens Ltd and Mr Darshana Subasinghe (General Manager- Power Solutions), Mr Boniface Perera (Senior Consultant), Mr Manoj Weerasekara (Electrical Engineer) represented DIMO (PVT) LIMITED.
Religious ceremonies were held to bless the occasion. DIMO (PVT) LIMITED as the main contractor for SIEMENS Ltd, is responsible for all civil construction work and electrical erection work of Kurunegala GSS Augmentation Project. Project Management team of Ceylon Electricity Board, Project Management team of SIEMENS Ltd, Power Solutions Team of DIMO (PVT) LIMITED and its Civil Sub-Contractor (George Steuarts Engineering) also took part at this auspicious event.
The Buddha Rashmi Pooja, the National Vesak Festival was held for the seventh consecutive year in commemoration of the Vesak Poya 2014. During the period of six days the Gangaramaya Temple together with the Presidential Secretariat facilitated the festival, transforming a precinct earmarked as the ‘Vesak Zone’ for this principal Buddhist event of the annual calendar, signifying the Birth, Enlightenment and Parinibbhana of Lord Buddha. The Buddha Rashmi Pooja, a religious and cultural festival is a concept of President Mahinda Rajapaksa. This was held from May 14th 2013, with precedence to religious observances. Thereafter, the illumination of the festival was initiated at the Seema Malaka by dignitaries led by the President following which the ‘Vesak Zone’ or the festival zone was opened to the public from seven in the evening till the early hours of the following morning. The public was able to witness a variety of exhibits from intricate designs of the lanterns, to craftsmanship of vibrant pandols, among the many displays. DIMO donated a TATA SuperACE to the winner of the lantern competition which was held at the Buddha Rashmi Vesak Zone. The TATA SuperACE key was handed over to its proud winner on 19th May by Rev. Galboda Gnanissara Thera, Rev. Assaji Thero, Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa, Inspector General of Police N. K. Illangakoon and Mr Vijitha Bandara.
