DIMO hosts Ifthar for its valued partners

DIMO invited their valued stakeholders for Ifthar, on the 24th of July 2013 at Galadari Hotel followed by dinner. A special Bayan was also held. This event was held for the 3rd consecutive year.  Mr Ranjith Pandithage, Mr Channa Weerawardane, Mr Sarath Algama, Mr Ajith Algama Mr Vijitha Bandara, Mr Wijith Pushpawela, Mr Mahesh Karunaratne and Mr Ananda Mapalagama graced the event together with the stakeholders.

This event was held for the 3rd consecutive year and was organized by Mr Mohammed Rizvi and assisted by Mr Nawaz Marikkar and Mr Anas Mohamed.

DIMO opens its newest Customer Contact Point in Badalkumbura

A new DIMO Customer Contact Point was opened on 18 July 2013  at Badalkumbura by Mr Kirupairaja Ashokkumar, marking DIMO’s presence along the Passara-Monaragala main road. The new Customer Contact Point is situated at No 96, Monaragala Road, Badalkumbura.

Furthermore 5 DIMO Batta EX2 vehicles and a Mahindra Tractor were handed over to its proud owners.

Mr Jemzil Uthumalebbe, Mr Sarath Tennakoon and DIMO Ampara Branch Team were also present at this special event.

DIMO Opens Its Driver Training Academy In Sooriyawewa

With more than 12 years of expertise in providing professional state of the art training, “DIMO Na Sevana Technical Institute” was opened on 18th July 2013 at Sooriyawewa, which is the first of its kind and is envisioned to be the hub of education and training in Sri Lanka. The objectives of the DIMO Na Sevana Technical Institute (DNTI) is to provide theoretical and practical education in automotive driving & construction machinery handling, maintenance & repairs, as well as a number of engineering streams thereby enhancing the employability of Sri Lankans in the local and global job market. The DNTI will employ classroom and practical training methodologies through a world–class curriculum designed in collaboration with the University of Moratuwa. As the Institute grows, it will also provide other technical training courses and programs including entry and bridging courses, language and literary courses, basic education courses, secondary certificate programs, small business courses and personal enrichment courses. The occasion was graced by Mr Ranjith Pandithage (Chairman – DIMO), Mr Gahanath Pandithage (Group CEO – DIMO), Mr Channa Weerawardane (Director – DIMO), Mr Suresh Gooneratne(Director – DIMO) and Mr Sarath Algama (Director – DIMO). Mr Ananda Mapalagama (General Manager), Mr Chandena Kodituwakku(General Manager), MS Dilrukshi Kurukulasuriya(General Manager), Mr Chaminda Ranawana(General Manager), Mr Mahesh Karunaratne(General Manager) and Mr Tharanga Gunawardena (General Manager) also participated for the event representing DIMO. Mr Sudath Gamini (Provincial Council Member Sooriyawewa), Captain Susantha (Commanding Officer of Army Unit at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium) and Mr Sampath Ranaweera (OIC – Sooriyawewa Polica Station) joined hands with DIMO to grace the event.
