With the new S-Class, Mercedes-Benz has confirmed its position as a pioneer.  With the further improved DISTRONIC PLUS system including BAS PLUS and a range of innovative comfort and convenience features which again set standards.  The DISTRONIC Plus makes for a more relaxed driving experience whether in stop-and-go situations or in motorway cruising.  The DISTRONIC PLUS sensors are also used by the new generation Brake Assist system BAS PLUS.  Whenever the driver brakes, BAS PLUS analyses the sensor-supplied data and, if necessary, assists the driver by increasing the brake power in relation to the proximity to the vehicle in front.
